Contractor Registration Renewal
Renew every 12 months from issuance date.
Submit application, fee, liability insurance proof.
Responsible Party needs 8 hours TDLR-approved continuing education (CE) per cycle (Texas codes, ASME A17.1, etc.).
No work allowed on expired registration. Late renewals possible with fees (up to 18 months standard; longer needs special request).
Inspector Registration
Renew annually; may require approved seminars or CE.
Annual Inspections & Certificate of Compliance
Owners must arrange annual inspection by Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI).
Submit report + fees to TDLR within 60 days (late fees apply after).
Get 1-year Certificate of Compliance.
